Brief history of Moulana Syed Mohammed Yousha Faizi
786/110
Mohammed Yousha “Faizi” Zangipuri
SHAIR
AALIM
ZAAKIR
A GOOD EKHLAAQ
Born in 1929 A.D, Syed Mohammed Yousha “Faizi” was his adapted name in poetry. He was born into a religious family and he was the known eighth generation ALIM and his father Allama Qais Zangipuri was an internationally recognized Sha’er-e-Ahle Bayt(a.s). He was born in Zangipur district of Ghazipur. Zangipur requires no introduction amongst the community of keen followers of Shia theology for its title as “Seat of Islamic Theology” in the yesteryears.
He lost his mother at a very tender age of 12 and had his education at Jawadia Arabic College, Banaras. During his education itself his passion for Shaeri was well known, why not because he had inherited the same from his father.
He was a self made man, refined in manners, always stressing the performance of religious duties, observance of Islamic tenets. He was a great azadar and his death on Sham-e- Ghariban testifies it. He has written many books on various aspects of Islam.
He began his career as Imam-e-Juma in late 60’s in Ranchi, later served as imam-e-Juma at Basravi masjid in Kolkata and later in the year 1975 on the invitation of AnJuma n-e- imamia took up the responsibility as imam-e-Juma in Askari masjid Bangalore where he served till the end almost for 32yrs.He along with others brought Bangalore AZADARI, Maqasad and other religious activities to international recognition.
He served as a humble patron in various religious organizations, including member Karnataka State Board of Wakfs.
He was a learned and practical Alim, who would simplify complicated matters with ease any masaa’el (Islamic Laws) so as to make it interesting and practical and was an equally eloquent Zakir - e – Ahlebait(a.s) and Sha’er. It was a unique amalgamation , seldom it would be difficult to say what he is best at .
His passion for sha’eri was unparalled. His love for his native Zangipur was enormous.
In his entire life he could not visit Zangipur only on 5 occasions. It was his love for his watan which took him there even after his death, 2500 Kms from Banglore. He was known for his akhlaq and mehman nawazi and that gave him outmost satisfaction.
He was loved adored by all his relations, not only respected by his own community, but people across all religions respected him. His funeral at Zangipur was a testimony for that where people across all faiths congregated in chilling winter till the late evening to pay their tributes to him.
In the year 1974, he compiled Kaif-e-moaddat, collection of few well known qasaed
Rubaiyat of Qais Zangipuri in two different editions.
Later compiled Yaad-e-Karbala, collection of few well known nauhas of Qais Zangipuri.
Just days before his last breaths, he released the audio and video(VCDs) version of Yaad-e-karbala Vol-2, compiled by his son Saulath Abbas and earlier vol-1 compiled by his third son Majlisi Faizi.
His well known sher for azadari was “BUS ISLIYE AZEEZ HAI YE ZINDAGI HAMEY, HUM MARKE PHIR HUSSAIN KO RONE NA PAENGE”.
The trend mashallah continues as his son Syed Farqaleetha Ali Hussainy is serving as resident Alim in USA. His son Syed Qasid Abbas Hussainy is pursuing his Ilm-E-Deen(Islamic Education) and shall continue further.

Eid e Ghadeer Muabarak to all momineen across the universe.
Momineen of Zangipur wish everyone a very happy Eid e Ghadeer.
Eid-E-Ghadir :
Eid-E-Ghadir (I'd-Al-Ghadir) which is on the 18th of the Zilhajj (Lunar Calendar) is one of the most celebrated event by Shiite Moslems. The event of Ghadir means the nomination of Moula Ali by the Prophet Mohammad(p.b.u.h) as his successor.
"MAN KUNTO MAULA FA HAZA ALUYUN MAULA"
"Whomever I am his master, Ali is his master too. He is my Caliph (successor) upon you after me.”
“O Lord support whoever supports Ali and oppose whoever opposes him."
It was the tradition of all the prophets to nominate their successors in compliance with the order of God and regardless of the approval of their followers. To the Moslems, Ghadir-e-Khum is the famous place where the Prophet Mohammad revealed his final message that he would be succeeded by Saint (Hazrat) Ali. The Arabic word "Ghadir" means pond and Khum is the particular pond located about 90 Kilometers (54 miles) northwest of Mecca in the heart of the desert called "Sahra -e- Hujfah".
As Prophet Mohammad arrived at Ghadir-e-Khum, he heard the voice of Archangel Gabriel and the signs of revelation appeared. As Prophet heard the Angel, he asked to recite Azan (or Adhan, prayers that the muezzin will say to gather Moslems to the mosque) with addition of words "Hayya'ala Khair il'amal which means hasten towards the best of deeds.

QASEEDA- DHOOP
By Molana Syed Farqaleetha Ali Husaini Zangipuri
Subho huwi suraj ne nikal kar charo taraf phelaayi dhoop
Pehle Ali ki chokhat chumi phir kaabe per aayi dhoop
Bughz-e-Ali mein jalne wale aur bhi jalthe jathe the
Nusrath-e- haq ke josh mein aakar jab maidan main aaye habeeb
Ek boodhe ki jism ki garmi dekh ke khud ghabrayi dhoop
Hindu hai na muslim hai na sikh hai na esaayi dhoop
Moula ka aashiq hai suraj asl mein hai moulayi dhoop
Aayi jidar-e-kaba per phir noor simatne aayi dhoop
Pyaas ki shiddath looh ki hiddath bachchon ke murjhaye chehre Karbobala ke ban mein aakar har lamha pashthayi dhoop
Dhoop ki jab hothi hai shiddath phool har ek murjhatha hai
Shah-e- zaman ka phool jab aaya sharm se khud murjhayi dhoop
Hukm-e- Ali hi hukm-e-khuda hai duniya ne ye jaan liya
Mujko bathao hukm se kiske jaake dobara aayi dhoop

Gham-e-hussain na ho tho khushi nahi hoti

Lahoo mein jinke wila-e- Ali nahi hoti
Hamari unse kabhi dosti nahi hoti
Ye bath hazrath-e-waiz ko kaun samjaye
Ye maikada hai yahan dillagi nahi hoti
Tujhe namaz mein bhi shak pe shak hai ye waiz
Yahan nashe mein bhi ghaflath kabhi nahi hoti
Yeh raaz teri samaj mein naa aa saka ab tak
Baghair hubbe Ali bandagi nahi hoti
Bohoth buland hai meyyaar-e- ashiqan-e-Ali
Hamari bath giri aur padi nahi hoti
Zaroor kehtha mein jannath ko lajawab “ANEEQ”
Agar nazar mein najaf ki gali nahi hoti
Yeh bath zikr-e-Ali per faqath nahi mauqoof
Munafiqon pe kabhi taazgi nahi hoti
Agar naa aatha dar-e-fathema ke bosey ko
Kabhi sithaaron mein taa bandagi nahi hoti
Na jaane kyu mujhe aksar khayal aatha hai
Hamari qabr mein kyun roshni nahi hoti
Kaha farishthon ne bughz-e-Ali andhera hai
Andhere mein kabhi taabandagi nahi hoti
Yeh bath apne hi sheron se hogayi maloom
Baghair luthfe khuda shayeri nahi hoti

Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve
Rotey hain shahe zaman dil ko sambhale huve
Dasht me aae rasool khuld se zaaro malool
Maqtaley sarwar ki khak sar pe hain dale huve
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Sar se giri hai rida hosh nahin hai baja
Fathema Zahra ko aaj hooren sambhaley huve
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Aankhon me aansu bhare taktey hain gardun ko shah
Gardane besheer se teer nikaley huve
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Kahte the shahe umam pehley hi samjhe the ham
Khak pey todenge dam godh ke paley huve
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Hogi jo tum nauha gar Jayenge bache kidhar
Pyas ke mare huve nazon ke paley hove
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Kaun sakeena ko haye zulmo sitam se bachaye
Kushtaye teghe sitam chahne wale huve
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Ro ro ke muslim ke laal girte hain har har qadam
Kanton par kyun kar chaley nazon ke paley huve
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Kahtey they Abid ghareeb kya karun main gham naseeb
Dasht me aakar juda qafele wale huve
Khak pe hain bekafan godh ke paley huve……
Sun ke zameen par ye hai hooron me hai shoro shain
Qasre falak se baland Qais ke naley huve

Aye zuljana kya kia apne sawar ko
Dilbande Mustafa shahe gardun waqaar ko
Jab janta tha margaye sab khwaisho aqreba
Phir kis pe chod aya gharibudayaar ko
Aye zuljana kya kia apne sawar ko……..
Maqtal se daudta hua khali phira hai kyun
Wasvaas araha hai dile beqaraar ko
Aye zuljana kya kia apne sawar ko……..
Aye zuljana is tarhe aane ka fayda
Kya khak par gira diya apne sawaar ko
Aye zuljana kya kia apne sawar ko……..
Kya hogaee yateem sakeena bala naseeb
Kyun ro raha hai dekh ke is dil figaar ko
Aye zuljana kya kia apne sawar ko……..
Jis manzile akheer ka bachpan se shaukh tha
Kya us jagha utara hai apne sawaar ko
Aye zuljana kya kia apne sawar ko……..
Aye Qais ahle shaam ne andhera kar diya
Gul kar diya nabi ke charaghe mazaar ko
Aye zuljana kya kia apne sawar ko……..
---------------------------------------------------
Phir palat kar madiney me aana na tha
Sans bhi le na sakte they ahle haram
Is qadar bhi maqafiq zamana na tha
Kaun ghurbat me shabbir ko poochta

Are very historic and during those times a lot people from different communities and towns around used to attend and appreciated the great facts that he highlighted in his majalises.
He had two sons one Moulana Sajjad Zangipuri who although had not been to Lucknow for higher education served his father and attained great knowledge and whereafter became a revered Aalim.

Brief of the news published:
On March 2, 2004 The Chicago Tribune reported, "In the parched desert of what is now Iraq, Imam Hussein, the grandson of the prophet Muhammad, was martyred by Sunni Muslim armies, giving rise to the separate Shiite sect of Islam. It all took place more than 1,300 years ago. But for Chicago's small Shiite community--and millions of believers, from Iraq to the Indian subcontinent and even the Caribbean--it could have happened only yesterday. For 10 days, the faithful relive the passion of Hussein's death at the hands of his oppressors--the defining moment of what it means to be a minority Shiite Muslim in a world dominated by Sunnis. Culminating their mourning ritual on the 10th day, generally known as Ashoura, members of the Chicago community will march Tuesday from the Daley Center to Michigan Avenue and back. For each of 10 previous nights in a small Northwest Side mosque, Farqalita and other imams recounted for a spellbound audience the exploits and suffering of Hussein, who died, abandoned by friends and supporters, to defend his family's succession to Muhammad as the head of the Muslim community."

Excerpt from the book:
Chapter 7
There are countless exhortations which the Prophet made to Abuzar. We here throw light on a few of them. Moulana Muhammad Harun Zangipuri writes on the authority of "Amali" of Shaykh Tusi that the Prophet said to Abuzar:
“O Abuzar! Worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, or He is seeing you and even if you are not seeing him”.
Know that His foremost worship is His cognition i.e. to understand that He is the First before whom there was none. He is One without a partner. He is Eternal having no end. He is the Creator of all things between the earth and the heavens. He is Pure and Omniscient. He is Free from every blemish, and is the Creator of all things

Religion and State in Awadh, 1722-1859 was

Excerpt from the book:
The Beginnings of Shi‘i Scholarship in Awadh
Shi‘i rule in Awadh necessitated the development of a class of Shi‘i religious experts. Yet, surprisingly, this development took place very slowly. Until the 1780s most Shi‘i scholars in Awadh fell into two categories. They were middle landholding Sayyids in the lineage centers or they served as poets, physicians, or tutors at regional courts. In both cases they resembled gentlemen scholars more than professional clergy. Let us examine the pressures that created a trained, specialized corps of ulama receiving patronage from Awadh's Shi‘i ruling group.
Until 1766, when Nawab Shujacu'd-Dawlah settled down to rule Awadh and Allahabad from Faizabad, he made little patronage available to Shi‘i scholars. Imamis pursued their scholarship on an informal basis, lacking any major institution comparable to Farangi Mahall. Some Shi‘i scholars, such as Mawlavi Sayyid ‘Ata' Husayn Zangipuri, sought and received cash gifts and land grants from Mughal ruler Muhammad Shah, but the increasing confusion at the Mughal center made this form of wealth less and less stable.[36] Scholars functioned as independent agents, taking advantage of political decentralization in North India to find patronage with local magnates in Awadh, in Bengal, or even in Hindu-ruled Banaras.
